Congregation Beth El

Previous Building for Congregation Beth El

Artwork by Jeanette Sloan Campbell.

For more than 80 years, Congregation Beth El has met in an old facility on Race Street in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The building was originally built as a church in 1836, although additions have been made to the facility over the years, including a parson's apartment which was later used as a social hall.

Congregation Beth El bought the building from St. Monica's in 1919. The building was our home until February, 2005, when time finally caught up with the aging structure.
