Shabbat

Shabbat at Congregation Beth El is the perfect time to transition out of the work week surrounded by family and community. We celebrate Shabbat with communal services every Friday evening as well as monthly Shabbat morning services.

Our services are a combination of Hebrew and English, singing and reading, prayer and silent reflection. Traditional Friday evening, Kabbalat Shabbat, services generally begin at 8pm.

On the third Friday of each month, our early Family Service begins at 6:30pm. This has a focus on participation, storytelling, singing, and multi-generational engagement and is usually followed by a Pot-luck, dairy dinner.

Our Shabbat morning programming on Saturdays runs from October to June. The first Saturday of the month is a traditional Shabbat morning service, beginning at 10am. Other Saturday mornings we have Torah Study, an informal discussion of the weekly Torah portion, from 10-11:30am.
