Yizkor-In Remembrance

Congregation Beth El maintains a perpetual Yizkor list for loved ones of current members, people who are recognized with a plaque on our Memorial Yahrtzeit Board, and those who are buried in our cemetery. A Yizkor service is held at Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Passover, and Shavuot. A list of Yahrtzeit dates, the date of death, appears in the monthly bulletin.  Names are read at the Shabbat service preceding the Hebrew Yahrtzeit date. In keeping with Jewish tradition, we encourage you to make a contribution to the synagogue in memory of a loved one's Yahrtzeit.
